Anyone doubting the momentum behind The Power of Information movement within Government should read the report published 2nd February 2009.

Wide ranging recommendations include urging Government officials to participate in social networks which are relevant to their public task, creating "backstage" technologies to enable both public servants and the public to create more relevant information services, and help for the Third Sector to create sustainable new business models for the social networking led information economy.

All of which sounds the same note as we have been sounding through these pages for some time  - viz. not just that everyone is now their own publisher potentially, but that publishing has become a collaborative user led activity.
