In memory - Famous Seamus

In memory - Famous Seamus

You were our voice, our Ulster voice.

You followed from Mossbawn to Sandymount

Via Stockholm, Harvard and Glanmore bog,

Criss crossing images, thoughts and words

Into woody briar sticks of language.

Now you yourself consort underground

With the great Horseman himself.

Noli temere: Hail & Farewell.

Great little poem & a fitting tribute to a rare & amazing man/poet!
Choice of words is perfect, spare, stark & economical.
